Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God. God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few.

Lord God help me to see where I have allowed hasty words to taint the truth that you have given me. Shut my mouth when I am preparing to speak from my own heart. Give me only words that you would have me speak before you and for you.
