Then Job answered the Lord: “I am unworthy—how can I reply to you? I put my hand over my mouth. I spoke once, but I have no answer— twice, but I will say no more.”
Job 40:3‭-‬5 NIV

Job responds with a short and humble response.

  1. Psalm 57
1 Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me, for in you I take refuge
I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings
    until the disaster has passed.
2 I cry out to God Most High, to God, who vindicates me.
3 He sends from heaven and saves me,
rebuking those who hotly pursue me—
God sends forth his love and his faithfulness.

I needed this today, as I work my way out of an attack. Lord hear me, I need you.

    Proverbs 17:14
“Starting a quarrel is like breaching a dam; so drop the matter before a dispute breaks out.”

27 The one who has knowledge uses words with restraint, and whoever has understanding is even-tempered.

28 Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent, and discerning if they hold their tongues.

Lord help me discern when I need to speak truth and what needs to be left alone. Guide my words when it is time to speak truth.
